October 1 UITM'2014, main autumn travel exhibition in Ukraine opens
October 1 to 3, the 21st Ukraine International Travel Market UITM'2014 will be held in Kyiv. The major travel
companies joined the main autumn tourism event to create new contacts and find solutions
of the moment.
‘International tourism is today a powerful global socio-economic force; a
trillion dollar sector that sees the movement of over a billion people across
the world each year,’ - the secretary general of the World Tourism Organization
Taleb Rifai addressed to UITM 2014.

the tourist market and the economy as a whole. Live conversation at the open
neutral platform of the exhibition should help each to cope with the fear of

This autumn, the International Exhibition Centre on the Left Bank of
Dnieper presents more than one hundred travel agencies and national tourism
organizations from many countries. The show’s geography includes Bulgaria, Chile,
Cyprus, the Dominican Republic, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy,
Lithuania, Malta, Palestine, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, the USA, Thailand,
Turkey, France and Ukraine.
Thanks to the Wild Card guest participation programme, ENIT Italian National
Tourism Agency and the Honorary Consulate of Malta in Ukraine exhibit in the
show. To remind, Malta is actively promoting not only the historical and
cultural tourism, it is primarily one of the world's largest English study centres.

October 1, the Kyiv city state administration at a press
conference will describe the situation and prospects of travel sector development
in the capital. Consul General of Greece in Kyiv, Mr. Dimitrios Tranas will
tell about this Mediterranean country at Greece with Mouzenidis Travel seminar.
October 2, the roundtable "Strategy
of development of tourism in the economic and political crisis in Ukraine"
is scheduled. Tourist Press Club Ukraine will bring together representatives of
industry, including Odessa region resort Koblevo, "Green Tavria
farms" of Kherson, Lviv and Carpathians, to discuss the public-private
partnership in regional tourism products, a shift to new markets and creating a
competitive tourism product. Press Club is going to award the best travel
brands in Ukraine 2014.
